When to Use Flat Top Blocks

Flat top blocks have smooth top and bottom surfaces for clean, simple stacking. No interlocking lugs. Best for applications where you need:

Material Bays & Storage

The most popular use. Create clean partitions between stockpiles (sand, gravel, mulch, recycling) at quarries, landscaping yards, construction sites. The flat top makes loading and unloading easier.

Simple Partitions & Boundaries

When you need to divide space on flat ground and don't require interlocking stability. Commonly used for temporary site partitions or low-height boundaries.

Flat Top Surface Applications

Anywhere you need a smooth, level top surface for placing materials, equipment, or additional layers.

Low-Load Retaining (flat ground)

For very low retaining applications on flat, stable ground where interlocking isn't required. For sloped terrain or higher walls, LEGO blocks are recommended.

Flat Top Block Questions

Flat top blocks have smooth top and bottom surfaces for simple stacking without interlocking. Choose flat top for material bays, storage partitions, or low boundaries where you don't need interlocking stability. Choose LEGO for retaining walls, site hoarding, or applications where blocks need to resist lateral pressure.
Flat top blocks can work for very low retaining walls on flat, stable ground. For sloped terrain, higher walls, or earth pressure applications, LEGO blocks (with interlocking) are recommended for added stability.
Yes, flat top blocks stack cleanly. For walls over 1.2 metres high (2+ blocks), check local engineering requirements and consider site-specific factors (soil type, drainage, load).
Each block has a 2.5-tonne lifting anchor point. Use a suitable lifting clutch with your forklift, crane, or telehandler. Blocks weigh ~1 tonne each.
