When to Use Flat Top Half Blocks

Flat top half blocks combine the compact size of a half block (600mm length, ~0.5 tonne weight) with the smooth, non-interlocking profile of a flat top block. Best for:

Calculating Your Order

Each flat top half block is 0.6 metres long and 0.6 metres high.

For walls, partitions, or planter boxes:

10 flat top half blocks	6 metres of wall/partition (single row)
20 flat top half blocks	12 metres (single row) or 6 metres at 2 blocks high

For a small planter box or low boundary:

Calculate perimeter and height, then divide by 0.6m per block.

Use flat top half blocks when you need compact size (600mm) + smooth stacking (no interlocking). Best for lower walls, planter boxes, or tight spaces. If you need interlocking stability, choose half blocks (LEGO-style). If you need longer blocks, choose full blocks (1200mm).

Flat top half blocks can work for very low retaining walls on flat, stable ground. For sloped terrain or higher walls, interlocking blocks (LEGO or half blocks) are recommended for added stability.

Yes, they stack cleanly. For walls over 1.2 metres high (2+ blocks), check local engineering requirements and consider site-specific factors (soil type, drainage, load).

Each block has a 2.5-tonne lifting anchor point. Use a suitable lifting clutch with your forklift, crane, or telehandler. Flat top half blocks weigh ~0.5 tonne each.
